Colombian digital media give voice to victims of armed conflict

The armed conflict that has afflicted the country since the 1960s has had an impact on the press, and on thousands of citizens. The site Verdad Abierta (Open Truth), which aims to cover the many dimensions of paramilitary action, is using multimedia tools to tell the stories of victims.

In its "Reconstructing" section, the site integrates photos, videos, testimonials, and stories of reconciliation, as well as statistics and information to help those who have experienced the conflict firsthand. The idea is to add more cases and information and to invite the victims to tell their stories.
