OAS hearings on press freedom online this week
In its 137th public session Nov. 2-6 in Washington, DC, the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) will consider freedom of expression complaints from several Latin American countries. See the schedule here.
The program includes cases of broadcasting freedom and two private hearings on freedom of expression and democratic institutions in Venezuela, EFE and El Universal add. Issues in Nicaragua, Peru, and Cuba will also be covered.
The conference will stream live on the Organization of American States’ website.
