Eleven journalists and radio stations are Colombian paramilitary's newest targets
Continuing the wave of threats by paramilitary groups against Colombian journalists, a new pamphlet targets 11 community radio stations affiliated with the Cauca Regional Indigenous Council and 11 journalists from diverse media outlets, Reporters without Borders (RSF) reports.
The pamphlet, signed by the United Self-Defense Forces of Colombian (AUC) paramilitary group, promised to engage in “offensive and repressive military actions” against the journalists and radio stations.
The dramatic increase in threats from Colombian paramilitary groups began one year ago when a community radio producer was threatened. Since then, paramilitary groups including the AUC, the Black Eagles, and Los Urabeños have called prominent journalists and human rights workers “military targets.”

Ridiculous Targeting innocent people
The journalists down in Columbia are just reporting and doing their daily work. Targeting journalists and human rights workers as “military targets.” is totally wrong and the goverment should step up and stop this full stop.
