Knight Center Journalism Courses on the Internet

 | | Welcome to the trilingual Knight Center’s Distance Learning program!
Since 2003, our program has trained over 2,000 journalists from the Americas and the Caribbean on a variety of journalism topics and themes that include investigative reporting, ethics, digital journalism techniques, covering armed conflicts, computer-assisted reporting, and many other topics. Our short courses (ranging from four to eight weeks) are completely online and taught by some of the most well-respected, experienced journalists and journalism trainers in the Americas.

 | Brazilian Journalists can Apply for Online Course: Introduction to Journalism 2.0 The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas will once again offer its popular online course in Portuguese, Introduction to Journalism 2.0: Opportunities and Challenges in the Digital Era, from Nov. 9 to Dec. 6, 2009. | | Knight Center offers online course in Spanish 'How to Write for the Web' The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas is offering the online course “How to Write for the Web,” from Nov. 16 – Dec. 20, 2009. The course will be taught by Colombian journalist Guillermo Franco, based on his recent book How to write for the web. The free, five-week course has been designed specifically for the Knight Center. | | Training the Trainers: Knight Center Offers First Course Exclusively for Journalism Instructors The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas at the University of Texas at Austin will offer a unique, online, Spanish-language course exclusively for Latin American and Caribbean journalism instructors: 'Digital Tools for Investigative Journalism Instructors' from Nov. 2–Nov. 29, 2009. Applications will be accepted online until Oct. 18, 2009.
