The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas at the University of Texas at Austin will offer a new online Spanish-language course 'Tools for Investigative Journalism,' created by Argentine journalist Sandra Crucianelli.
The course, which is free of charge, begins Nov. 6, 2006 and lasts five weeks. A limited number of spaces are available, and preference will be given to journalists who are working full time for print, broadcast, or online media, and have at least three years of reporting experience but limited opportunities to attend training courses.
Applications are available online until Oct. 30.
Crucianelli is a nationally and internationally known journalist and instructor who has taught her popular online courses six times since 2004 as part of the Knight Center's distance learning program.
The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas was created by Professor Rosental Calmon Alves at the University of Texas at Austin School of Journalism in August 2002 thanks to a generous donation from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
