ISOJ 2016: Follow the conference via live video and social media

If you did not register for the 17th annual International Symposium on Online Journalism (ISOJ), you can still follow this year’s conference through live streaming and social media.

The global conference will take place on April 15 and 16 at the Blanton Museum of Art on the University of Texas at Austin campus.

Sessions will be available to watch in English and Spanish via links provided at online.journalism.utexas.edu. The sessions on Friday, April 15 take place from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. U.S. Central Standard Time (CST). The sessions on Saturday, April 16 are from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CST.

A full program including panels and speakers is available at the ISOJ site.

Additionally, social media users can keep up with conference activities via the hashtag #ISOJ on Twitter and through posts to the ISOJ Facebook page.

All Snapchat users should look for the special ISOJ filter when posting Friday and Saturday. You can follow our account at ISOJ2016 or see our Snapcode to the right.

Keynote speakers for this year's ISOJ are Kinsey Wilson, editor for innovation and strategy and executive vice president of product and technology at The New York Times; Cuban journalist Yoani Sánchez, founder of digital news site 14ymedio; and Kara Swisher, co-founder and executive editor of Re/code.

A group of leaders from five nonprofit journalism organizations in the United States also will participate in a keynote panel.
