ISOJ 2016: Attendees traveling thousands of miles for global conference on online journalism



Attendees from at least 41 countries will start pouring into Austin, Texas on Thursday, April 14, for the 17th annual International Symposium on Online Journalism (ISOJ).

Outside of the United States, the countries with the highest number of attendees are Argentina, Brazil, México and Spain.

People making the longest trips are from Botswana (8,989 mi/14,466 km) and Kenya (8,846 mi/14,236 km).

ISOJ will take place on April 15 and 16 at the Blanton Museum of Art on the University of Texas at Austin campus. Two pre-ISOJ events, a News Engagement Workshop and Hacks/Hackers Connect, are being held on Thursday, April 14.

We will offer live streaming in English and Spanish via links posted to online.journalism.utexas.edu.
