Check out the program for ISOJ 2020 and register now for this unique global conference on online journalism

The in-person component of the 21st ISOJ has been canceled.

The short program for the 21st International Symposium on Online Journalism is now available. ISOJ 2020 features more than 40 speakers from around the world who will discuss the present and future of digital journalism from April 24 – 25, 2020 at the Blanton Museum of Art at the University of Texas at Austin.

The program is still evolving and not yet 100% complete. We’ll be adding to it in the coming week and will publish a final version soon. In the meantime, we invite you to peruse the program thus far to see who’s speaking and which topics we’ll be covering.

“ISOJ is once again the premier conference and opportunity to look at the latest innovations in the field of journalism,” said founder and director Rosental Alves. “We have great keynote speakers who are leading the industry, as well as panels on everything from using artificial and open source intelligence in investigations to product management to disinformation and misinformation. There are also various pre- and post-ISOJ events to round out the conference and provide more opportunity for learning. We hope you’ll join us in Austin, Texas, to move the conversation on online journalism forward.”

Since 1999, ISOJ has convened journalists, media executives and scholars from around the world to discuss the impact of the digital revolution on journalism. ISOJ is a program of the Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas at UT Austin and bridges the gap between academic and the news industry.

ISOJ 2020 is possible thanks to the generous support of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, Google, Facebook and Microsoft.

Registration is now open and early-bird rates are available until March 14 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Registration has sold out in previous years, so we encourage you to sign up as soon as possible.

As the conference nears, we will be adding new updates to the program and publishing stories about each panel on isoj.org. You can also follow our ISOJ hashtag, #ISOJ2020 and our Twitter and Facebook pages for more updates.
