Knight Center to offer online course on journalism ethics

Journalists from Latin America and the Caribbean who can speak, read and write English at an intermediate level can now apply for an online training course on journalism ethics, offered by the Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas.

The free, four-week course, which will run Nov. 8 to Dec. 4, 2010, will be taught in English by Edward Wasserman, a Knight Chair and ethics professor at Washington and Lee University of Lexington, Va.

The course is aimed at giving journalists a practical guide for solving ethical dilemmas often confronted o the job. Additionally, the course will touch on how to deal with ethical problems arising from the new media environment.
