UNESCO and Knight Center offer new online course for Latin American judges on freedom of expression

Due to the success of last year's offering of the massive online course “International Legal Framework on Freedom of Expression, Access to Information and the Safety of Journalists,” which had more than 1,200 registered participants from across Latin America, the course will be offered again starting April 4. Course "Social Media Analytics for Journalists" will teach how to measure your success online; registration open

After years of working in online journalism production and audience engagement, journalist Amanda Zamora is ready to share lessons learned about how journalists can optimize content for social platforms and measure audience response.

“Social Media Analytics for Journalists: Measuring Your Success” is a four-week Big Online Course (BOC) offered in English by the Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas and taught by Zamora. It runs from March 7 to April 3 and costs $95, which is payable by credit card. Read more »


Online course on data visualization and infographics with D3 now in Spanish; enrollment is open

"Data Visualization and Infographics with D3", one of the most popular online courses in English offered this year by the Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas, will be offered in Spanish starting January 18, 2016.

Both times that this course was offered in English in 2015, spaces filled up quickly. The Knight Center now offers this course in Spanish after receiving repeated requests. Be sure to register as soon as possible to ensure your participation. Read more »


Knight Center celebrates three years of MOOCs in journalism, passes 70,000 students in its online courses

The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas is celebrating the third anniversary of its unique program offering Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and Big Online Courses (BOCs). So far, 62,803​ people from 169 countries have benefited from 19 MOOCs and five BOCs. Read more »


Judges can take an online course on Freedom of Expression, offered by UNESCO and Knight Center
