SembraMedia aims to help journalists with the business of digital media

For years, Janine Warner has traveled Latin America, teaching as a guest professor at universities, speaking at conferences and meeting entrepreneurial journalists along the way. She wanted to find a way to connect all these people.

So, in October 2015, Warner launched SembraMedia, a new nonprofit organization and online portal that aims to create a community of digital journalists in Latin America and Spain, providing a place where they can share information, strategies and resources. Read more »

Knight Center and Google’s MOOC concludes with hundreds of journalism projects for the web

On Dec. 19, four days after the conclusion of the Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas' most recent Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), “Development of Journalistic Projects for the Web," Mexican journalist Luis Cardona launched his site, Diario19.com, an investigative journalism website that seeks to employ journalists who have been displaced by violence in his country.
